With regular opening hours of Tuesday to Saturday, 9am until 5.30pm, the Market is accessible from the High Street near the flyover and from Beechen Grove, near Clarendon Road.

High Street & around town

Running through the heart of Watford town centre is the High Street shopping district which offers shoppers an eclectic mix of shops and eateries. Slightly further afield is St Albans Road which has many interesting and ethnic shops to browse round and is also home to the Watford branch of TK Maxx.

Watford also has a number of retail parks located a stones throw away from the High Street. Waterfields is just 5 minutes from Lower High Street and boasts a large Tesco Extra as well as Next, Sports Direct, Boots and Argos. Ten minutes from the town centre Century park offers large format stores such as Homesense, Currys PC World, Hobbycraft, Halfords and Pets at Home.


There are over 4,500 car parking spaces in and around the town centre. The Kings, Queens and Palace car parks and CitiPark car parks Gade, Church and Sutton around the High Street.
