Watford is an ideal location for those who need to travel outside the UK, whether its an occasional trip or a regular journey.

The town is within close proximity to three major international airports – Heathrow, Luton and Stansted, all of which are easily accessed by road and rail. There is also direct rail access to London Gatwick and London City airports and a link via St Pancras station to the Eurostar service to Paris and Brussels.

London underground also serves Watford Metropolitan Line Station at the outer north-western boundary of the tube system.

Watford has also got excellent transport links with London and the wider South-East, being located within the M25 and within close proximity to the M1. Watford is also served by one of the principal north-south rail routes – The West Coast Mainline which connects London (terminus at Euston) to the Midlands, north-west England and Scotland. This has led to the classification of the Borough as the fifth best connected district in the county (Local Futures Group, State of the Borough Report, December 2006).
