Watford Health Campus

Watford Health Campus is an exciting new development, comprising a new acute hospital, health and other related employment uses, housing, leisure facilities, hotel, Combined Heating and Power plant (CHP), new urban green space with lake and a new access road from the east of the site.

The development seeks to utilise 26.4ha (65.2 acres) of currently under-used land and provide a mixed use area ranging from the large scale high density buildings of the hospital, to public open space of Oxhey playing fields. The scheme includes retention of existing Listed Buildings, 13 individual development zones inter-linked by a comprehensive movement network and will be completed in phases up to 2018.

The Watford Health Campus is UK’s first venture to involve an NHS Trust, a Regional Development Agency, a Borough Council and a private sector partner.
