Watford Borough's total resident population at the 2001 Census was 79,726, of which 49% were male and 51% were female.
The latest revised mid-year estimate 2008 is 82,500, rounded to the nearest hundred in accordance with ONS requirements (published May 2010).
The town, however, serves a much larger catchment area, with 500,000 people living within a 20 minute drive and 5,000,000 people living within a 45 minute drive. |
